Cyril kidnapped (politely) both Rick and Emily and took them to the Silver Palace. "We never did get around to training!" he declared happily.

Rick blinked, "I was enjoying the Earth existing again, Cyril!" He laughed.

"Well now you can enjoy the agreement we made however long ago that this would be your stomping grounds for months!" said Cyril cheerfully. "Emily has also made this promise!"

Emily shrugged, "I'd rather not die during our travels thankyouverymuch."

Rick wasn't reading. Because he wasn't a prick. "All right," he said, nodding.

"Well, I'll explain how everything works here again for Emily's sake," began Cyril. "Things work via telepathy, just think about where you want to go and you'll be led there."

Emily nodded. "Sounds simple enough."

Cyril beckoned for the two to follow them, "Alright then, to the courtyard, follow me."

Rick followed, doing remarkable things along the way.

They were in the courtyard. The dark sky was above them. It was all very tranquil. "Okay, I had originally planned for some melee training, but seeing since today is just so nice it's probably best to utilize the peace and work on our ki. We'll see how good you two are at it." Cyril made a welcoming gesture, "Impress me!" [20+ words on some fancy ki work]

Rick took a deep breath and floated above the ground. He focused on the lack of noise, the dark sky, and the... it was actually pretty hard to see." He sent his ki gently out of his palms in orbs and sent them across the courtyard, radiating gentle light across the area. It was nice. He smiled at his handiwork.

"Excellent work, Rick." Cyril said, "Very good for someone of your skill level. Now, Emily?"

Emily looked a bit nervous. Ki had never been her strong point. Emily's had always been drawn to the easy grace and physicality of warriors. Nonetheless, Emily gave it her best shot. Emily lifted up her hands to shoulder height and two glowing, faint green orbs of ki appeared in her hand. She dropped to the brick floor and and pushed the orbs into the cracks between bricks. Glowing ki spread across the entire floor, but it was sloppy and didn't stay in the lines.

Cyril frowned. "Emily your ki manipulation is average at best and your ki reserves are small." He stared at Emily for a moment, lost in thought. "We'll go through the basics again then." Cyril decided. "Emily, Rick, sit down."

Emily looked sheepish and sat down, cross legged.

Ryuzaki fell down and sat with his legs outstreched.

"Sit straight." Cyril nagged at Rick. "Okay, listen very closely. Ki is your life energy. It pulses through you every moment of every day. It is always there and only limited by your mental strength. Ki improves the more you use it and the more you focus yourself. Personally, I take a little bit of time out of each day for ki work." Cyril went on. "I want both of you to do this now. Take some time. Play with your ki. I don't expect your ki to be stronger, but I expect lots of progress on how you can control it. I'll be back." Cyril left. Cyril left and Emily sighed. She was awful at ki. Emily continued to sit down in her current position for awhile as she thought about how she wanted to go about this. Emily decided to meditate and focus herself first. Emily breathed in and out at a steady beat for awhile until her thoughts were clear. She reached deep inside herself and found her core, her source of strength. Emily felt the ki pulsing through her and lifted her palm upwards. She opened her eyes and found that a ball of faint green ki was floating in her hand. Emily focused on this ki and made it small while keeping its power. She struggled to condense her ball of ki without releasing power, but if she did it slowly she could manage it. Emily managed to condense it to the size of a golf ball. Emily slowly let it get bigger and bigger and then condensed it faster. Emily continued to do this for some time until she got the ki ball as small as small as the stars in the sky appeared to be to her from this vantage point. Emily slowly lowered the ball and launched it into the sky.

Rick blinked, "So. What'll I do," he said to himself and Emily, but mostly to himself. "Ki is the key to mastery of the sea," he muttered, briefly wondering if Moses was a ki user. He fumbled with his coat and threw it off. He flew up into the sky and began channeling his ki into several orbs, and then making them change colours and shapes as the ki orbs revolved about him. He made a second ring that went over his head down to under his feet, in a circle. He made them all swirl about--- pyramids, cubes, spheres, stars, swirly things, etc--- in dazzlingly bright colours--- orange, green, blue, purple, slightly blue, a bit orange, almost purple, very green, red, extremely red, clear, boringly-so grey, not-very grey, gray, greh, grah, greee, somersault, and yellow--- at dizzyiny speeds.

It was neat-o. He was nearly at two-hundred, whatever the bugger that meant.
It was a wonderful sight, spinning, bright, pulsing shapes and colours, an epileptic's nightmare. Or, if they're a bit daring, best kink. Rick audibly sighed. He spun the ki so fast that it melded into a ball. He landed on the ground, his sphere deteriorating.

Cyril re-entered the courtyard looking a bit ruffled. "I trust the 10 or so minutes were productive?"

"I guess." Emily said uncertainly.

Rick nodded.

"Well, let's see your progress, give me another demonstration!"

Emily let two balls of ki blossom from her palms. She touched them against the bricks and this time the entire courtyard was traced in green. Small orbs dripped upwards from the streams of ki and Emily smiled successfully.

Ryuzaki used his hands as flashlights. Which was extremely practical.

Cyril smiled, "Excellent work Emily, see what just a little bit of time can do for your ki?" Cyril rolled his eyes at Ryuzaki, "I was expecting something a bit more impressive Rick, but at least it's practical." Cyril, Rick, and Emily were all absorbed into the ground and taken onto a piece of the moon which was not occupied by the Palace, "This next bit will be a bit destructive!" Cyril proclaimed. "Don't want to leave any nasty burn marks in the Palace!"

Emily was a bit disoriented. "Did... what... You know what? Never mind." She just went along with the fact that she had just been eaten by the ground.

"Kinky," Rick said.
