PostSubject: Emily Loses Her Head. (And the rest of her body.)   Mon Feb 10, 2014 6:43 pm

Today, Emily’s adventures take her to Heaven! How exciting!
It was night. The twin suns were well below the horizon and the stars twinkled brightly in the sky. There was a glowing cloud pulsating in the darkness. It was Cyril’s ship. Just below it were Emily and Cyril, looking down on the rough waters of the Northern Ocean. It was cold, freezing in fact. Emily’s breath came out in puffs of smoke. Cyril was quietly telling Emily something, and when he was done he left.
Cyril left Emily feeling terrified and alone. It wasn’t a good feeling, virtually stranded above a churning, ice-cold ocean. It was even worse knowing what horrors those depths held. Demons and carnivorous whales were deep below. Emily’s insides flipped as she thought about what she had to do today. Emily had to delve into the Northern Ocean and destroy every single demon hiding in it. It was a big task to say the least.
Now a little back story! Directly after the fight with Zero and Makoto, Emily had been swallowed by Cyril’s ship and taken here. She hadn’t floated here above the ocean for long until Cyril had joined her.  They had flown in silence for a moment before he told her about the demons below the surface of the Northern Ocean.  They were called the Oneroi. They were a collective race of shape shifters native to Heaven. Their common shape was that of a stereotypical demon, but they came in all sizes. Cyril had told her that they were close to infinite in their numbers and were on uneasy terms with the Seraphim. Areas all around Heaven were infested with them. These Oneiroi had massive psychic abilities, and were known for lulling their enemies to sleep and destroying their mind. Every single Oneiroi was connected to their hive mind, and once she met one, every Oneiroi would know her face. Cyril had proceeded to tell her she needed to kill every last one that was hiding in the Northern Ocean. And then he left her with that daunting task.
Emily looked down on the dark and heavy ocean and wondered how she would even breathe long enough to kill them all down there. Emily cautiously flew close to the waves below as she contemplated how she would go about eradicating the Oneiroi; unfortunately for Emily, the Oneiroi knew exactly how they would eradicate her.  An open giant black hand breached the surface of the Northern Ocean underneath Emily and with a mighty sound of disturbed water closed around the unawares Bio-Tuffle. Off to a good start, eh? The black hand jerked back inside the ocean and dragged Emily along with it down to the very bottom. As she fell, Emily’s body failed to cope with the incredible pressure and she blacked out.

When Emily next woke, she found herself strapped to a chair in a pristine, white room. Cyril was pacing around anxiously in front of her. “Cyril! What happened?” Emily began starting and abruptly ending bewildered questions, trying to get her mind together. “Shut up!” Cyril snarled. Emily was taken aback the fury in the voice. “Cyril….”
Cyril stopped pacing and glared at her. “I’m not Cyril, fool. Can’t you tell?” For the first time, Emily really looked at the person pacing in front of her. He was right, there was no way he could be Cyril. His eyes were violet and his hair was completely white, as if he had been deprived of sun all his life. Not Cyril’s eyes crinkled as he smiled, “So you know him… He sent you’re here didn’t he? Don’t deny it, I can smell him on you, Tuffle.” Not Cyril’s voice was hoarse and much higher than Cyril’s. There was a manic look in his eyes whenever he spoke of the Lord President. “That damnable Seraph sent you here to get rid of us didn’t he!” Not Cyril growled. Emily was scared, she could feel her heart racing and beating in her chest, desperate to get out of these chains, but she couldn’t show it. “No. I figured I’d get rid of you all for a spot of fun.” Emily said nonchalantly. Not Cyril leaned in close to Emily, looking bewildered, as if he wasn’t sure whether to be angry or to laugh. Not Cyril began to laugh. Like he was laughing pretty hard. Closed his eyes and everything. “You’re a tough one, girl! No doubt as to why Cyril sent you.” Not Cyril laughed. “Of course he won’t wont see you again. Goodb-“ Not Cyril shuddered suddenly. A flash of grey Bio-Tuffle was seen slithering inside his ear and Not Cyril stopped shuddering. He drew himself up in a more confident stance. Not Cyril wiggled as Emily tested out the controls, so to speak. “Eugh… I’m a man.” Not Cyril grimaced. A sly look flashed across Not Not Cyril’s face. “No, don’t have time for that. I have to get out of here.” Emily tore around Not Cyril’s brain and put him down. Not Cyril fell to the ground, dead, and Emily slithered back out and entered her own body again. “Oh… wait.” Emily was still tied down.  Growling was heard at the door. Emily powered up and broke from the chains and got ready for the fight of her life. The single door burst down and a dozen demons poured in, ready to restrain Emily again. Emily rushed at the one at the center and leapt into the air. She smashed her knee into the demon’s face, but fell through. To her utter shock there was only one demon now and that demon fell onto her like a hungry lion. The others must have been illusions. “You wont make it to the Source!” it hissed as it sank its claws into her thigh. Emily kicked the demon off her with ease and it slammed into the wall, hard.  It sank onto the floor unconscious. Well, now Emily knew where her next target was. The Source. Emily quickly took control of the demon and rifled around its brain. Emily was assaulted by the hive mind, but she got what she needed before she was forced out. Emily grabbed her body and ran out the door. It opened up into a cavernous hallway with thousands of tunnels. Almost every tunnel was filled to the brim with Oneiroi. There’s no way Emily could kill them all.
A screech went up as one of the demons spotted her. This screech went around the crowd and they all surged towards her. In desperation, Emily abandoned her body and crawled through cracks in the walls. Outside, the Oneiroi fell upon her old body and tore it to shreds. With no time for regret, Emily snuck through the walls until she managed to reach where she believed the Source to be. She was correct, and found a huge altar looking machine which appeared to be drawing lava from the core of Heaven. Pretty dramatic. Only a small contingent was guarding it. Emily snuck behind the Oneiroi guarding the Source and observed the machinery carefully. She found it would be a simple matter to shut the Source down and cause a pretty nice explosion, but how would she get out in time? Emily, hidden from sight, stayed down for awhile trying to think of ways out. Not a single idea.
“Hey Emily, got the Oneiroi gone yet?” Cyril spoke through her mind.
“Er… yeah. Come pick me up.” Emily plucked a cog from the Source and Cyril ship enveloped her almost immediately.
The Northern Ocean was particularly tumultuous that night.
