Artik, the Solar Saiyan, stood at the gates of hell. He had been to and fro between universes. Whole armies would turn and run at the sight of him. He brought life to our universe, and he has protected it with his own. But now, our hero faces the most insurmountable of all challenges--- boredom.

The Cosmic Saiyans had a word for it, 'maltempus'.
He decided to go to Six Flags, because why not? I mean, death has no consequence (unless it's Semi-related), so, yeah.

He got on an inverted coaster, and he had fun, until his crown flew off. He jumped off the ride and dove after it. Of course, he being rather tall, was hit in the head by some coaster-rider's feet. Any normal human would have been decapitated. Artik is neither, and wasn't. It did, however, spark something in his mind. Something hidden by his brain. A beautiful globe, with a nice, rolling plain peppered with forests, going east and west along the equator. In the corners of this planet, were oceans. Four. At the top and bottom were frozen poles, and before them, in the very middle of the face of the planet, lie a desert. In that desert, sat the most beatiful city ever seen. A view that would challenge Heaven itself.

Artik awoke from his daze and shouted. "Arrrgggghhhh!"

The planet he saw filled his mind with memories of the life his brain had him forget. His time with the Solar Saiyans. The birth of this universe. Everything right after they burst out of the rift from 42A. The Cosmic Saiyans, or the Archsapiens, as they preferred, used their various attributes to begin this universe's life. The Nebulaic Beings (Nebulus Saiyans) used their magicks to forge a star, and with the leftovers, created a world. Nova Roma, they called it. After the old Planet Roma, from 42A. Surrounding the planet was a moon created by the Lunars. A dark moon, benign blackhole, created by the Dark Saiyans (Shadewalkers), and a whitehole created by the Omega Saiyans orbited the globe.

Artik massaged his head as he strode towards a mountain. "Hold on," he said, "this wasn't here a moment ago." Nevertheless, our hero climbed the sloped side, gazing intently at the Blinking Red Light up on the Mountain.

Artik coughed and tripped, and hit his head on a rock.

There was the globe again. An army clad in black and silver armour convened--- only thirty men and women. The man with a cape stood in front of the group, "Men, women; mi amici, mi amori," the sonorous, soft voice spoke. One not associated with leaders, let alone the leader of the Nova Roma, of all the young universe. "Our lives, our culture, our freedom is at stake. Will we lay down in front of the enemy and bow?"

"No," the crowd shouted. Thunderclouds rumbled at their voice. Of the soldiers were several orange men and women, some translucent beings, normal-looking Saiyans, and a couple white-tailed Saiyans.

"We cannot, will not lose this war. For Nova Roma! For the Dominion!"

In response, the crowd chanted.

"Don't use the Luminos Shadura unless it's completely necessary," he muttered to his general. To the crowd, he gave these final words, "Enter the coordinates of right here into your neural relays," he said, "this will cause your bodies to be transported here when the device deems it safe. The relays will only work when one is within an inch of death. Keep in mind that it's possible to die before it kicks in. Good luck, mi amici."

Artik smiled sadly as the crowd went to war. His general followed him closely, "Sir. Why aren't you wearing one?"

"A captain goes down with his ship. A hero dies with his cause. A king will fall with his empire." He sighed, "Besides, above all else, I need to safeguard the planet. If it goes up in flames, their bodies won't have anywhere to go. They'll die a million billion times into nothingness." He shuddered. "I have a failsafe," he said simply. "One I will not explain to a traitor and a mole," he said. Artik shoved his arm through his general's chest, using his other arm to rip off his relay. Looking sadly at his old friend, he asked, "Et tu, Broccus?"

The traitorous general gave a last breath and collapsed. Artik swished his robes as he spun around. "Damn, that was catchy."

In truth, the Romo-Saiyan Empire lost pittifully. But that is another memory.

Artik, the present Artik, stood up, strong and tall. He clicked his new radar and found all the Earth Dragonballs had been gathered, and that was the Blinking Red Light Up on the Mountain. "Yay! Shenron, I..."
