Dance with the devil

Grim had made his way to Cyrils palace on heaven via the Slave-I he had "borrowed" from Zero. Grim walked up to the palace knocked on the door and waited.

"THIS IS SACRED GROUND YOU DIRTY HEATHENS!" Cyril shouted as he threw open the door. "THERE IS A DAMN RECEPTIONIST SOMEWHERE ELSE WHO IS VERY GOOD AT HIS JOB. HELL, JUST SHOUT MY NAME SOMEWHERE AND I'LL SHO- oh. It's you, Grim. I suppose I can forgive the trespass."

Grim blincked, "um, hello Cyril, I was wondering if you could help me with something. You see, I was wondering if you could train me." Grim pleeded.

"I'll require your undying allegiance," Cyril said nonchalantly.

"alright yea sure." Grim said without hesitation.

"Pretty quick to sign away your loyalties, but whatever." Cyril shrugged. "Come, we'll start somewhere else." Cyril flew out of the palace and towards the main planet.

Grim followed, "so what are we doing first?"

Cyril hovered over a silver forest. It was spring time and the clouds of purple spores flooded the ground. Normally the forest wasn't too bad along the lines of hallucinogenic spores, but spring was a bad time to be inside. "I think I'll teach you like I taught Zayn. With experience!" Cyril pushed Grim into the forest. "Find your way to a lake in the center, and no flying! That's both cheating and probably bad for your health!" Cyril teleported to the lake and awaited Grim. ((200 words on making your way through the hallucinogenic forest and to the lake. Put the post in this topic and I'll grade it and we'll continue with our topic.))

This forest that stood before Unoriginal Knock-Off Man seemed a bit menacing, but it looked easy enough all he had to do was find the lake that was in the center, how hard could it be.
One minute later.
“AHH, son of a mongoose. Why did it have to be snakes?” Unoriginal Knock-Off Man had wondered about the forest and bumped into a bed of snakes. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man tried to back away slowly but stepped on ones tail. The horde of snakes were now attacking and chasing Unoriginal Knock-Off Man. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man ran as fast as he could in the anime way of running. Then he jumped and turned in the air and sent a Galack gun at the snakes and killed them. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man calmed down and continued to walk. He stumbled upon a bear that once it saw Unoriginal Knock-Off Man rose on its hind legs and attacked Unoriginal Knock-Off Man. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man pulled out his scythe and quickly cut the bear in two. The two halves of the bear lay on the ground. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man loved the smell of a fresh carcass. Any who, Unoriginal Knock-Off Man continued to walk along the forest and eventually made his way to the lake in the center. Unoriginal Knock-Off Man walked over and found Butterfly Man standing close by the lake.

"There were fasinating animals." Unoriginal Knock-Off Man said as he remebered the smell of the dead bear.

"Yes, they're quite interesting. Anyway, fend of of the Lady of the Lake and take the sword from her. Bye." Butterfly Man disappeared. ((500 words))

Grim was uncertain of what Cyril was talking about until he looked at the lake and saw that in the middle was a stone that had writing inscribed on it, “ Here lies the Lady of the lake.” Grim wondered what happened and why there was a stone in the middle of the lake, who even goes in the middle of the lake and puts a stone there, seriously. Grim looked at Cyril and then at the lake, then back at Cyril, then back at the lake. Grim shrugged and then walked around the lake, the water was black and murky, and the smell of the lake was weird, really weird. Grim stared deeply at the lake and if he looked really closely he could see the sword at the bottom of the lake. Grim dove into the lake and swam for the bottom and once he could see the gleam of the light of the sun off the sword he reached out and grabbed the sword. Then as he closed his hand on the sword a small whirlpool formed in the lake. Grim was pulled into the whirlpool. Once inside the whirlpool Grim could see the lady of the lake that Cyril had told him about. She actually was very pretty and not at all ugly like he had thought she would be. The lady of the lake started to attack Grim and scratch out his eyes, “dang it, I will chop your head off!” Grim pulled out his scythe and sliced at the whirlpool and disrupted it. The whirlpool stopped and Grim could see the lady of the lake more clearly and she was actually very ugly. I guess the whirlpool masked her ugliness. Grim grabbed the sword and swam for the surface. As he swam the lady grabbed his leg and dragged him down. Grim slashed at the lady of the lake, however underwater his movements were slowed so the lady of the lake was able to easily dodge it. The lady of the lake swam to the side and started to bite at grim. Grim yelped in pain as the lady of the lake bit a chunk out of his side. “Son of a mongoose, that’s it I’ve had enough of you.” Grim pulled back his hands and fired a Beam of Ki at the lady of the lake. “Galack Gun!” The beam struck the lady of the lake and she faded into nothingness. Grim watched as she disappeared and then grabbed the sword. Grim swam back to the surface and pulled himself up on shore. Grim looked at the sword it was beautiful it gleamed in the light of day and had some gold coating on the blade. Grim paid no attention though he had no interest in swords only power and getting stronger, well that and his scythe. Grim sheathed the sword and then walked back around the lake to where Cyril stood and held out his hands and handed him the sword.

"Great!" Cyril took the sword and promptly threw it back into the lake. "Now, what's your preferred fighting style?"

Grim was unsure of what Cyril was talking about, "what do you mean?"

"Are you ki centered or do you prefer a straight up brawl?" Cyril asked.

"I'm not much for Ki, but i will use it if i have to." Grim said.

"Alright. Do you now of any stamina based techniques you would like to learn?"

"well from what I've watched of you all Lightning kick seams to be a good technique." Grim told Cyril.

Cyril nodded, "Okay. We have to wait for a storm first."

A few days passed and our two protagonists met back on the outskirts of the forest, ready to train. "Ready to learn, Grim?"

grim shot into a fighting pose, "Ready." Grim was ready for what ever Cyril through at him.

Cyril forcibly grabbed Grim and threw him into the gathering black clouds in the sky. He held Grim up there with his telekinesis. "DO YOU SEE ANY LIGHTNING?" He called up to Grim.

Grim looked around as best he could, it was dark but every now and then a flash of light would appear followed by a loud clash of thunder, "YEAH, THERE ARE FLASHES OF LIGHTNING ALL AROUND ME."

"OKAY, COOL. HOLD YOUR SCYTHE UP ABOVE YOU."

Grim held out his hand and his scythe appeared. Grim did as Cyril instructed and held up the scythe, just then a flash of lightning struck pretty close to grim, "oh, crap, this is probably gonna hurt." A flash of lightning struck grims scythe and and lit him up like a christmas tree.
