Stuff

Cyril grinned and was about continue forward when Emily piped up.

"Er... that wall wasn't there before, was it?" Emily pointed and there was a solid wall covering where they had just come from. There was a new hallway branching off to the right now.

"It's a defense mechanism. We aren't supposed to be here." Sarah said. "Ignore it."

Cyril nonetheless approached cautiously, "Marvelous!" he breathed. "They must be much more advanced that I anticipated."

"Cyril don't get too close." Emily called worriedly.

Sarah shook her head. "Not really. They were pretty low. Most of their technology was cannabalized from other races.

"Be that as it may, they have access to the technology and that is more than I expected." After another moment, "Gallian, perhaps? Yes, it looks like ancient Gallian. Brilliant engineers, they are. Or, rather, were." Cyril back away from the new wall and began to press onwards.

Sarah stopped and suddenly burst out laughing.

Emily and Cyril looked at Sarah, "I don't think I've heard that joke before." Cyril said dryly.

"The Gallians? Brilliant Engineers?! That's a riot! Those idiots would still be banging rocks together if it wasn't for outside help."

"And can you remember who provided that help?"

Sarah seemed to have gone through a full personality switch. "I did of course."

Cyril inwardly checked his historical timelines. "Hmmm... yes that's entirely possible," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

Sarah patted Cyril on the head. "There is so much you have yet to understand child." She stretched out. "Just hurry up please. Your taking forever."

Riza decided not to say anything.

"That could be said of us all, could it not?" Cyril sighed, something else entirely bothering him. "Don't be impatient, if I know my Gallian architecture, we'll be nearing the main hall or its equivalent soon. That's where all the interesting stuff will be." Cyril motioned forward and he and Emily began walking again.

"Lets keep going before I get further creeped out." Riza said.

Cyril laughed shortly. "I'm sure the main hall wont help that any." And, speaking of which, it seemed Cyril was right. A towering, silver door rose in front of them all. In the center was a glowing, stone glyph. There was a string of runes at the bottom, not exactly in modern vernacular, but it was recent enough for Cyril to be able to piece them together. "Do not enter except on official business." he intoned. "Hmm."

"There are traps. Very deadly ones. Ama?"

Amaterasu nodded and walked forward. Suddenly two beams hit her. She roared in pain and fell to her knees. She managed to get up and destroy the traps. "Ow!"

Cyril stood, mouth slightly agape. Something was... calling to him. It was no intoxicating siren's song. The call was pleasant, friendly... familiar. He frowned. and stepped past Ama thoughtlessly.

Emily made sure Ama was okay, "Cyril! What are you doing- wait!"

Cyril motioned for them to stay back. "No, it's okay. I think I know what's behind this door now. I know who."

The group watched.

The figurative narrative reins in hand, Cyril pushed the doors open slowly. They ground open with a slight protest. Inside was a huge, circular room. Everything was the color of gun metal and there was a huge round table forming a ring around the room. The center was gone so it was like a continuous bench, really.
A tall Seraph with six wings and long silver hair was turned away from them. She dipped her head to the side, revealing half of her face. "You shouldn't have come here so early, sweetie," the woman said, her normal cheery tone gone. "And not with friends."
Cyril looked back hesitantly at his friends, "Why?" He looked at them as if maybe they knew, though he knew it was unlikely they did.

Amaterasu spoke up. "Not his friend. This is the first time I've ever met him."

Cyril frowned, "No see, we met on the planet near H-"
The woman laughed deeply, "Well, whoever you are, you should all leave before you interrupt something you should not." The woman turned her head back fully so her face was out of sight again. "They have not been chosen for this honor, Cyril." She said, almost sympathetically, "and most importantly, you are not yet ready for us."
Cyril frowned again. Us? Was she with the warriors who built this place?

Riza yawned. "So as much as I would love to sit here and listen to exposition spouted by Cyril's wife I would like to continue. I'm going to be dying soon so I would like to get to that."

((Was trying to hit the 13 page mark before we ended, sorry xD)) The lady sputtered with laughter, "Wife? You jump to conclusions too quickly, stranger. I belong to no one. Now, leave, all of you." With no further explanation, Cyril was pushed out of the room by some invisible force and the doors sealed themselves once more. All of the members of the group were suddenly torn from this pocket universe as Cyril's grip on the place was broken.

Emily was standing on the forest floor of Heaven once more, confused.

"Wait, what Riza?" Cyril looked at him.

Sarah looked at Riza. "Open a new one."

Riza nodded an opened a tear. 

Sarah looke around. "I don't expect any of you to come with me but your welcome to if you like."

Amaterasu shrugged. "Why not?"

Cyril and Emily looked at each other. Cyril raised an eyebrow. Emily shrugged. "Alright." they said in unison.
