A Hyperbolic Picnic

Rick swayed his head towards both his shoulders, muttering, before admitting, "Well. Apparently they're infinite, and it's pretty damn easy to get lost. You won't die of hunger or air loss or dehydration; the TARDIS'll keep you alive, but... you'll eventually die of old age if you don't find your way out." He ate some of the nondescript food.

Stan smiled, "I wouldn't worry about that... Semi trucks, that's a worse threat."

Emily resolved to not become a throw-away female character. Whatever that meant.

Cyril resolved the same thing. Weird.

Rick blinked at the look on the other two's faces.

There was an awkward pause.

"So you guys aren't like over powered predators or anything right?" Emily felt the need to ask.

Rick shook his head, Stan laughed, Auron rolled his eyes, and Artik stirred, "A few years ago, maybe," he fell back to sleep.

Stan frowned, "I don't have genitals."

Emily drummed her fingers on the table whilst she pondered these answers.

"I'm asexual anyway." Cyril drank from his mug of whatever it was. We'll say it's, like, I dunno, orange juice or something.

Artik spoke, waking up, slightly sober. Clear enough to speak, but not enough to remember any of this,"Married. Auron's proof'a that."

Auron winced. This Artik hadn't had Chesbire die yet.

Emily was slightly reassured. She ate some toast. It was very nice toast. Had a wife and two kids. They'll never seem him again.

"This has to be some sort of abuse to the HBTC, to use it for a picnic." Cyril said thoughtfully.

Rick shrugged, "We're all around the same level, except you, Cyril. Train us."

"Sounds fair. Everyone, attack Artik and survive." Cyril commanded.

Artik prostested, "Ryuzaki's twice as strong as me!"

Oh right. Whoops. "What really? Oh so he is. Well, everyone just piled on me! I could use the exercise." Cyril got up from his chair.

Outside the HBTC, a humming could be heard. The TARDIS dropped off Kel... Zero....
"Everybody gets one," it muttered in its own, mechanical language.

Emily decided to let other people take down Cyril's defenses before she attacked.

Everyone else agreed.

Cyril looked around slowly, waiting for someone to attack. Anyone really. "Come on then!"

Still, Emily hung back.

Nope.

Not it.

Rick sighed, "You never did teach us anything useful! Just flying and ki attacks."

"Well I didn't exactly have any time..." muttered Cyril defensively.

He gestured around. "Time!"

Cyril sighed. "I guess I can now." Cyril thought for a moment. "Why don't you and Emily spar and let me gauge your abilities?"

Rick nodded. He bowed and somehow appeared behind him. He fell backwards before he could atrack, "I got... fast." He stammered in surprise and laughed. He kicked at Emily's legs.
